Columbus Coated Fabrics - Columbus, OH

Demolition on Columbus Coated Fabrics began in 2007. We were lucky enough to explore this place several times before then. It was first built in 1902 and had many additions over the years as well as many different uses.

The factory is absolutely huge. Dozens of buildings, most with basements, catwalks, multiple floors, huge machinery, and tons of items left behind after it closed it's doors. It can be maze like as you try to navigate through the many buildings, and the pitch black basements. In one basement room the floor was covered with small, round, colorful rocks. In some spots it was more than a foot deep with these little things.

It was one of the best places for urban exploration in this area and will surely be missed by the exploring community.
