Simkins Box Factory - Cleveland, OH

This large box factory was an accidental find. I drove into an area that I usually never drive through after seeing a potential location on Google Earth. Once I got there the building I had first assumed to be abandoned turned out to be occupied, though just around the corner I found this place.

It is a tall building with a large loading dock that backs up to train tracks. The inside was empty just as many of the locations in Cleveland are. A section of the building shows significant fire damage. We visited this location several times over a couple month period and on each visit we found more and more garbage and vandalism. On our finale trip to this building we found it to be locked up very tightly which is better than seeing it destroyed by scrappers or kids who just want to trash the place.
