Ypsilanti Psychiatric Hospital - Ypsilanti, MI

This was a great location. The main buildings were a quarter of a mile long. We spent hours here and barely saw half of it. When we were there the second building had only been abandoned for a little over two months and some of the exit signs were still running on battery power. The other main building had been abandoned since we believe 1992 and had been gutted and stripped of almost everything. The newer of the two had everything left in it. Desks with framed family photos still sitting on them. There were clothes and christmas cards still in the patient rooms. Names were still on the doors of the isolation rooms. We found incident reports in one of the offices. We also found a room with hundreds of VHS tapes from the security cameras throughout the building. It really was an incredible place.

Toyota now owns the property and we're pretty sure the buildings have all been torn down but not positive. So if anyone knows the current status of this location please contact us.
